Ring turned legs give an impression of bamboo to the supports
Skillfully proportioned, this low table presents a contrast between the squared top and turned legs and x-form stretchers. The top is decorated with quarter cut book matched veneers strung with contrasting walnut herringbone.
This delightful side table offers subtlety and beauty in equal proportion. Standing on the slenderest turned legs with pad feet, its burr veneered top surmounts a single small drawer with scalloped apron below.
The magic of the master is demonstrated here by the conjunction of the solid form of the mahogany cabinet and its muscular cornice sitting atop a positively delicate base. The fineness of the support is emphasized by the pierced fretwork decoration to the corners and the rails. The fretwork is repeated in the frieze.
Named after the English country house, this sweeping sofa is as elegant as it is accommodating. At nearly two metres long, it is fully upholstered in fabrics of your choice, and stands on six hand carved walnut legs with pad feet.
Following a form similar to a buffet or whatnot, this delicate side table has a multitude of uses in the Georgian living room. Its three tiers, separated by graceful ring turned columns, and brass castors add to its flexibility.

Smaller than the bookcase, but no less striking to behold, this rosewood commode has many fine details that draw the eye.
A real showpiece, this magnificent breakfront bookcase positively abounds with fine detailing. Like the greatest of Golden Age London craftsmanship, all the skills and imagination of George Bensley’s workshop is on display.
With quiet simplicity, this small, mahogany two tier table, with gallery and drawer below, provides a perfect example of form matching function. Place it alongside any of the sofas in this collection and it will set off the upholstery sympathetically.
